Distance Learning


Distance learning allows students, instructors, and course content to be located in different locations, enabling learning to occur asynchronously (independent of time and instructor) or synchronously (at a present time with instructor involvement). Our distance learning courses can stand-alone, or be used in combination with traditional classroom-based courses, or with separate skill labs/assessments. This flexibility of mixing distance learning courses with physical on-site activities is referred to as blended (hybrid) learning.

HazMat Online is a series of online modules that brings Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations level material to life with interactive audio, video, Flash™ animations, photographs, illustrations, and case-based scenarios. HazMat Online is designed to enhance students learning experience by allowing them to experiment with key concepts and skills in the safety of a virtual environment.

Students progress through the didactic portion of each module online, followed by an interactive review of the material to evaluate retention of key concepts presented. It can be used as:
